The Facts You Need To Know About Satellite Radio – Part 3

In Part 3 we covered the monthly subsciption costs of satellite radio and a little about the programming that is available. But let’s talk a little bit about sports on satellite radio.

Sports programming is just exploding in the US and there is a constant demand for even more and better coverage of sporting events. Both satellite radio providers have seen this need and moved to fill it with plenty of sports broadcasts that cover everything from the major sports themselves and actual events to just sports talk. Every single game of the NFL is broadcast besides over 1,000 NBA games and lots of hockey action too. If you are a sports fan, you will absolutely love satellite radio as there is always something interesting being broadcast on sports pretty much 24 hours a day.

So how do you get all of this satellite radio programming anyway? Well, the first thing you need to do is select which provider you wish to subscribe to. In the US your choices are either Sirius or XM. Both have great programming available so the best thing to do is just visit their website, look over the offerings that they have and decide which one fits what you like to listen to best. It’s important that you decide on which service to use beforehand since you have to buy receivers that are specific for that service. You can’t switch from one provider to another and use the same receiver at this point, so choose carefully.

After selecting your provider, decide where you will be listening to radio broadcasts most, in your car, boat, RV, or just at home? There is plenty of equipment available that will let you listen to satellite radio, some mobile, and some not mobile. There are also products that allow you to take your receiver and use it both at home and when you travel, so there is lots of flexibility on satellite radio receivers and equipment depending on where and how you plan to listen. Keep in mind too that some satellite TV companies include satellite radio in their offerings so you may already have it available at home.

Our viewpoint about satellite radio is that it is a great product that you just have to experince to fully appreciate, and once you enjoy the convenience and quality of satellite radio broadcasting, you probably won’t want to listen to radio any other way.

The Growth Of The Scholarship Search Service

When the Internet was first introduced for public use, there seemed no need for search engines or directories because of its limited size. But, as more and more people started logging-on and the ability to create and post a webpage became simplified, there came a need to index all of these new sites. Thus the need for, and the usefulness of the search engine. These sites started out as just directories to list websites under different categories, these included sites like Yahoo.com or dmoz.org. But, now they include “true” search engines like Google.com that search for sites using inputted text.

Well scholarship services like Online Scouting Network, are just like the original search engines. With the increase in the number of new high schools and students now enrolled, due to the population growth and new developments, it has become harder for colleges to scout all of them. The scholarship service is like one big search engine, giving these athletes a place to post their resumes. These services catalog athletes in one convenient location for college coaches and scouts to find, and they can have access to at anytime, just like the search engine.

And, as evidence over time, these services become just as necessary to college coaches as the search engine is in every ones daily life. The fact is that these services give athletes a chance to get an education while playing a sport they love. The scholarship service does more than just list the player and what sport they play, they provide a complete online profile of their athletic and academic achievements. The information contained in the profile is then displayed on a secure site where coaches have to log-in at this point they are given access to view the profile which is categorized by sport and position.

The success rate for these services is dependent on the information gathered by the scholarship service, and the number of coaches that utilize the service. But, for the student-athlete it can be the proverbial “foot in the door” that gets them noticed by scouts and recruiters. The goals of these services are to provide the student that might otherwise not get evaluated by colleges, a chance to present to them in a formatted system their profile. Because of this system, scholarship services are replacing the old fax and mail system, plus it relieves the coaches and their staff of all the paperwork associated with faxing or mailing profiles for them to view.

Scholarship search services are growing in part to the need of students wanting to attend college for a better education, and eventually a better career. The services of companies like Online Scouting Network whose website is http://www.onlinescoutingnetwork.com, and others will continue to grow like the original search engine, as long is there is a consumer need for this service.

Thaddeus Collins is the owner of Online Scouting Network, and its mission is to provide high school student athletes an opportunity to attend college on an athletic or sports scholarship by providing exposure to their talents. Imprinted Basketballs

Imprinted basketballs are a great idea for promos, fund raising, and corporate events. They are popular as souvenirs and mementos, and even customized gifts.

Imprinted basketballs are retailed by many websites. Imprinted basketballs are almost always available in bulk, since corporate and promotional companies order them for distribution at various events. Extra-Mile.com, for example, retails imprinted synthetic leather and rubber basketballs, which can be purchased wholesale. In fact, purchasing wholesale custom imprinted basketballs is very cost effective. For example, at ArmuProducts.com, you can purchase a single ball for $9, but on purchasing minimum 50 mini basketballs, the price for each ball comes down to $2 each. The imprinting charges are extra, and vary depending on the logo or design imprinted, and the number of colors used in imprinting. At ArmuProducts, imprinting costs $40 per color (for a set of balls). The colors are orange, red, blue, white, green and yellow. Of these, only two colors may be selected. Ink color matching costs more. Also, back and white, or color artwork imprinting service is available, and charges vary depending on the complexity of the design.

ArmuProducts.com is one of the best firms retailing imprinted basketballs, since it deals almost exclusively in imprinting and customizing sports goods. You can choose from materials like rubber and foam, which are inexpensive at $5 each for 100 balls, or leather basketballs at $15 each for 50 balls. Mini basketballs which glow in the dark are available for $8.50 each.

Another website retailing unconventional basketball souvenirs is AceNovelty.com. At AceNovelty.com, a 14 inch inflatable basketball is imprinted at a cost of $3 each for 50 basketballs.

Imprinting basketballs adds a special touch to the ball, and they make great gifts for basketball fans. They are distributed to participants at events and gatherings as mementos, and they boost the sales of a product when handed out at promotional events. And the cost effectiveness of imprinting makes customized basketballs a very viable option for these purposes.
